Western Sunsetters 2026 Spring Rally

The 2026 rally season for the Western Sunsetters Leisure Travelers Club commenced with a spring event in the scenic South Okanagan Wine Country. Located in Osoyoos, British Columbia. The Nk’Mip RV Park & Campground provided a distinctive camping opportunity, positioned beside Canada’s sole desert and its warmest lake.

Day One – Registration Day

At the start of the rally, 120 Leisure Travel Vans were registered, with first-time attendees making up 40% of the group. During the registration process, each van was provided with a Western Sunsetters-branded drawstring bag and personalized name tags for the participants. Every attendee received a raffle ticket for the prize drawing to be held on the final evening, and those joining their first rally were also presented with a branded Western Sunsetters hat.

Prior to the commencement of the rally, attendees were able to sign up for opportunities to: volunteer in various capacities at the rally, request a table for selling new items at our Western Sunsetters marketplace, submit “ask the expert questions,” or pre-book for one of the three zentangle art sessions that would be offered. Additionally, musical people were able to indicate interest in participating in informal “jam sessions”.

Interested Club members met with rally coordinators during registration to confirm the dates, times, and places for volunteer commitments, pre-booked zentangle art sessions, and offers to host either a campsite social or a show and share at their campsites.

In the evening, we offered all attendees the opportunity to gather in the campground clubhouse for a B.Y.O.B. social meet-and-greet get-together while enjoying a provided snack.

Day Two

The LTV Western Sunsetters Travelers Club kicked off each day of the Osoyoos Spring Rally with an inviting coffee cafe service. After coffee, participants had the opportunity to take part in a guided activity that included stretching, balance exercises, and a stroll through the campground. These morning sessions were expertly led by the directors and founders of the Active Cranbrook Physical Literacy Society, a group committed to promoting physical wellness.

Prior to lunch catered by Oliver Eats, Western Sunsetters Travelers Club members gathered for a group drone photo. Dedicated volunteers managed the large turnout, positioning everyone in front of two 2026 LTV models generously supplied for the event by Fraserway RV Kelowna.

Throughout the event, LTV-certified sales personnel from Fraserway RV remained on-site to conduct coach tours, address LTV-specific inquiries, and help attendees troubleshoot van problems as needed.

On Wednesday, the rally welcomed Leisure Travel Vans representatives Dean Corrigal and Darrell Heide.

Following lunch, Dean provided an overview of the company’s history and engaged with the audience during a question-and-answer session. Darrell Heide then led an “ask the expert” segment, where he addressed general inquiries and provided valuable LTV maintenance advice. Beyond the formal presentation, Darrell offered personalized assistance by visiting members at their vans to help evaluate specific technical concerns.

In the afternoon, the General Manager of Fraserway RV Kelowna addressed the Western Sunsetters. He shared insights into the company’s corporate vision and emphasized their commitment to supporting local community initiatives, including their continued partnership with Leisure Travel Vans and the Western Sunsetters Travelers Club. He then introduced the local Business Development Manager from Jason Parks Customs, another organization involved in community initiatives, who outlined their diverse business portfolio, which includes West Kelowna wineries and restaurants. The session concluded with an invitation for all rally attendees to visit the Clubhouse to experience live music on the patio and sample a variety of products from their local businesses.

Following a period of relaxation and dinner, members of the Western Sunsetters reconvened at the clubhouse. The evening featured a slide presentation and an interactive discussion led by the Western Sunsetters Rally Planning Team, titled “Making Your RV Better—Modifications That Matter.”

Day Three

Following the morning coffee club, cafe, and the stretch, balance, and group walk activity, the schedule continued with several engaging events.

The clubhouse served as the hub for the Western Sunsetters Travelers Club’s first-ever rally marketplace. This event showcased handcrafted items from pre-registered club members alongside offerings from several professional vendors. Fraserway RV provided a wide array of parts for purchase, and displays from NomadIq Grills and Valley Auto (specializing in RV suspension) were also available. Adding a local touch, Oliver Eats presented a selection of artisanal breads and specialty treats from their Oliver, British Columbia, deli.

Educational opportunities included a presentation by Fraserway RV experts on “LTV Basics: Maintenance You Can Do Yourself.”

In the afternoon, members participated in a variety of social and artistic activities. A highlight was the well-attended ice cream sundae social, graciously organized by club members. Concurrently, the first of three pre-arranged zentangle classes began, led by a globally recognized professional zentangle artist, author, and instructor, offering attendees an opportunity for creative expression.

During the evening session, our physical literacy coaches conducted a workshop focused on preserving physical mobility, functional fitness, and overall health during LTV travels. This session included practical advice and demonstrations on safely performing essential maintenance and tasks around, inside, on top of, and even underneath the vans while on the road.

Day Four

Friday’s activities commenced with the coffee café, followed by the session of “stretch, balance, and a group walk.” Simultaneously, the clubhouse hosted the second of the pre-registered zentangle workshops.

The club enjoyed another excellent lunch catered by Oliver Eats. Following the meal, the third and final pre-registered zentangle session took place in the clubhouse.

For the final evening, the Western Sunsetters group gathered for a B.Y.O.B. social event. The festivities featured live music by a club member, accompanied by dessert treats from the caterer, Oliver Eats. Adding to the fun, club members also participated in an impromptu karaoke sing-along.

We drew Raffle tickets for prizes donated by Fraserway RV Kelowna, Traveland RV Langley, as well as prizes gifted to the club by various Western Sunsetters Club members.

Day Five

A final “stretch, balance, and a group walk, “ and goodbyes followed by campground checkout.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Leisure Travel Vans and the numerous Western Sunsetter Club members who so graciously shared their time, professional skills, and resources. From leading informative sessions and organizing activities to assisting with site cleanup, their dedicated efforts were fundamental to the high-quality and unforgettable experience shared by everyone at the Nk’Mip Spring Rally.
