Guidelines for Posting Reviews

A few things to remember when posting your review:

  • Authenticity: Only review businesses you’ve personally used and base your feedback on your own experience.
  • Specificity: Detail what aspects of the product or service impressed or disappointed you.
  • Constructive criticism: If providing negative feedback, focus on specific issues and offer suggestions for improvement.
  • Respectful tone: Avoid personal attacks, insults, or offensive language.
  • Accuracy: Ensure factual information is correct and avoid making false claims.
  • Disclosure: If you have any connection to the business, such as being an employee or receiving special treatment, disclose this information.

A few obvious don’ts as a reminder:

  • Exaggerated claims: Don’t embellish your experience or make untrue statements.
  • Copy-pasted content: Write unique reviews for each business.
  • Spamming: Don’t post multiple reviews from different accounts for the same business.
  • Personal information: Avoid sharing personal details about yourself or others.
  • Illegal activity: Do not promote illegal activity or harmful behavior.
