Evergreen Leisures 2026 Spring Rally

The Evergreen Leisures gathered for our Spring Rally at Winchester Bay RV Resort on Oregon’s beautiful coast, June 7–11, 2026. The festivities kicked off with our traditional “early arrival sausage fest,” courtesy of Ted. What began years ago as a gathering of 10–12 LTVs has grown into quite an event—this year, 126 people representing 65 LTVs joined the fun!

The official rally began on Monday as the full crowd of 92 LTVs and 165 attendees arrived in a classic Oregon downpour. This was a first rally for 20 of those LTVs! Fortunately, the resort provided an outstanding indoor event space, with a smooth welcome and registration process (special thanks to Karlyn). We held our official all-member information meeting, then everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner catered by Bedrocks on the Bay, featuring tri-tip steak, chicken, a baked potato bar, and salad bar.

After dinner, attendees gathered in small groups to enjoy shared desserts—a wonderful idea organized by board members Patty and Bruce. Thankfully, the weather cooperated for the remainder of the rally.

Tuesday began with coffee and our traditional dog walk before launching into a full day of vendor presentations coordinated by board members Tim and Patti. Bend Battery, specializing in solar and electrical upgrades, and Kleen Tank, experts in holding tank cleaning, both provided services through the end of the rally and worked on a record number of LTVs.

We were also treated to a delightful mimosa brunch hosted by SkyMed, followed by a presentation about their medical evacuation services. The afternoon featured additional presentations from Mercedes-Benz of Eugene, Harvest Hosts/Boondockers Welcome (with special thanks to Janice), and our regional Leisure Travel Vans dealer, Johnson RV. Johnson RV brought in a team of seven service technicians who worked through Wednesday evening, providing maintenance assistance and expert advice to 75 LTV owners.

As a special pre-dinner treat, local distillery Stillwagon hosted a two-hour tasting event featuring their rums, vodkas, and whiskeys. Many thanks again to Bruce and Patty for helping coordinate this memorable experience.

Dinner was prepared by the Johnson RV team and featured classic hamburgers and cheeseburgers with all the fixings, along with side salads and chips.

The evening concluded with our first-ever bingo night. 10 rounds of bingo were played, each with its own prize. With the crowd divided between two connected event rooms, a friendly rivalry quickly developed as each side tried to out-cheer the other. Ties were settled with exciting “daub-offs” and additional number draws, making for a lively and entertaining evening. Special thanks to board members Karlyn and Tom for organizing such a fun event.

Wednesday morning began with coffee and a dog walk, followed by a breakfast burrito bar organized by board members Caroline and Yas, along with the crew from “Caroline’s Kitchen.” The team was led by Dale from the Southwest Roadrunners club, who has attended so many of our rallies that he feels like family.

The afternoon offered a variety of local activities, including hikes, a bike ride, and a tour of the historic Umpqua River Lighthouse, built in 1890. Thank you to board members Mike and Donna for coordinating the day’s adventures.

That evening, everyone enjoyed another catered meal from Bedrocks on the Bay featuring pizza and a salad bar. Following dinner, we held our closing ceremony and raffle, with prizes donated by Leisure Travel Vans, our vendor sponsors, and always a crowd favorite—custom cutting board/sink covers and other rally-themed woodworking creations crafted by Dan Taylor.

The grand prize of the evening was a beautiful National Park quilt lovingly handmade by Dan’s wife, Carol.

By Thursday morning, most attendees were heading off to their next adventures. Beyond the efforts of the board members, this rally’s success was made possible by the incredible “jump in and help” spirit demonstrated by so many volunteers throughout the week.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Barbara Ely and the outstanding staff at Winchester Bay RV Resort for their hospitality. If your travels take you through the Pacific Northwest, Winchester Bay RV Resort is well worth a visit.

We’re looking forward to our next gathering—the Fall Rally at Fidalgo Bay in Anacortes, Washington, September 20–23, 2026. We can’t wait to see everyone there!
