Springtime in Georia

The LTV FMCA Club arrived two days ahead of the start of the FRVA Convention, Sunday, March 15, 2026, to lovely spring sunshine! 11 coaches gathered from eight different states–one left their coach getting mods to “hotel it” and a couple others came late and parked around the corner from the group but we managed to still gather as a group! Coming in early gives us a great parking location and a couple of days to be strictly LTVers.

Sunday

On Sunday evening, we had a terrific catered BBQ dinner and banana pudding—a true southern meal delivered to us on-site. We visited around our camp circle until dark, exchanging experiences.

Monday

We woke to rain in the morning, so one hearty soul in a raincoat and boots delivered our light breakfast of fruit bowls and wrapped breakfast pastries to each coach. Since we’d all attended previous conventions, as LTVers or new to LTV, having just bought their coaches, having converted from A and B units, we dispensed with our convention orientation in favor of dry interiors! The rain stopped, but temperatures dropped, so the evening meal of various sandwiches, pimento cheese, sausage links, and chicken salad, with chips and cookies, was handed out via food truck style from Shirley & Randy’s coach. FRVA had regional entertainment that evening that many of us attended.

Tuesday

We enjoyed a sleep-in day with the convention kicking off in the afternoon. It was non-stop activities through Saturday evening. Seminars, a trade show, food, professional entertainers, and more kept us busy. The weather cooperated later in the week, and we were able to spend several evenings together making up for the bad weather.

Some statistics you might find interesting include 1145 total RVs attended and 262 exhibitors with everything you could imagine for your RV. FRVA raised $5168 for a local charity that assists with job-skills training through The Driven to Care Silent Auction of member-contributed items and fees collected from The Magic Mile charity walk/run.
